How much does it cost to paint an apartment in Poland?

In Poznań, a 50 m² flat with three rooms and 2.6 m ceilings costs about PLN 3,300 net for two-coat roller painting at the middle rate, roughly PLN 4,050 gross. A 60 m² flat is about PLN 3,700 net and an 80 m² flat about PLN 4,950 net.

How long does painting an apartment take?

A 50 m² flat typically takes two to three working days, including preparation and drying between coats. An empty flat goes faster, especially if we can use airless spray equipment.

Can you paint while I still live there?

Yes. We protect floors and furniture and work room by room, so you always keep part of the flat usable. It costs slightly more in masking time than an empty flat, which is why an end-of-tenancy repaint is usually the cheapest scenario.

Do you paint rental apartments for landlords?

Regularly. Repeat work between tenancies is a large share of what we do, including quick turnarounds. We invoice with VAT and can issue a pro forma in advance for companies.

Smaller flats hit the PLN 2,000 net minimum order — for example a studio or a single room, where labour alone would come to around PLN 1,000–1,300.

What is included

The labour rate covers priming, two coats, masking and protecting floors and furniture, filling small defects and cleaning up. Quoted separately: paint if we supply it (PLN 3–7/m²), a full skim coat where walls need levelling (PLN 35–50/m²), render repairs (PLN 60–70/m²) and wallpaper removal (from PLN 15/m²).

Ways to bring the cost down

Paint an empty flat. Between tenancies there is nothing to mask and we can use airless spray at PLN 12–20/m².
Supply the paint yourself. The invoice then covers labour only.
Skim only what needs it. Plastering is priced per m², so it can be applied to two bad walls rather than the whole flat.
Keep the colour family. Repainting a similar shade avoids the extra coat a dark-to-light change often needs.

How is the price of painting a room calculated?

The price depends on the working surface area (walls + ceiling), not the floor area. A standard 15 m² room (floor) with 2.5 m ceilings has about 50 m² of working surface. With two-coat roller painting (PLN 15–25/m²), labour costs PLN 750–1,250 — counted towards the PLN 2,000 net minimum order (justified by transport and crew mobilisation).

What is included in the painting price?

The PLN 15–25/m² rate (2 coats, roller) includes: wall priming, protecting floors and skirting boards with film and tape, applying 2 coats of paint (walls + ceiling), insulating primer under oil paint, and cleaning. Materials (paint PLN 3–7/m²) are priced separately.

What is charged separately?

Materials (paint PLN 3–7/m²). Plastering over 20% of the room's surface — a separate item at PLN 35–50/m² (plastering itself; painting after plastering is PLN 15–25/m²). Full gypsum skim coat for a premium finish. Removal of skirting boards, sockets and frames. Scaffolding/aerial lift (ad hoc, based on rental cost). A quote for a full renovation (painting + plastering + panels) — individually.

How long does it take to paint one room?

An experienced crew will paint a standard 15–20 m² room within one working day — including surface preparation, priming, 2 coats and clean-up. Significant plastering (over 20% of the surface) adds 1–2 days (plaster drying time). We use products from: Caparol, Śnieżka, Kabe, Dulux, Knauf, Atlas, Tikkurila.

How much does it cost to paint a 50 m² apartment?

A 50 m² apartment (2 rooms + kitchen + bathroom + hallway) has about 190 m² of working surface. Labour for two-coat roller painting (PLN 15–25/m²) = PLN 2,850–4,750 net. With materials (standard paint PLN 3/m² × 190 = PLN 570), the total is about PLN 3,420–5,320 net.

What if you take a deposit and disappear?

We take a deposit of no more than 30% of the order value — usually only to cover materials. You pay the rest after a stage is completed or in full upon acceptance — by VAT invoice with a payment deadline. We operate as J&K Vision sp. z o.o. (VAT ID PL 782 292 12 67), a registered company based in Poznań. Every order has a written contract with a registry number (e.g. 08/2026) — in black and white: who, for what, and by when.
