How much does wall painting cost in Poznań in 2026? The honest answer depends on three things: the working surface (walls plus ceilings — not the floor), the technique (roller or airless spray) and the condition of the walls (sound, minor defects, or needing a full skim coat). This is where most confusion about wall painting price comes from. We charge per m² of paintable surface, which is the four walls plus the ceiling, minus roughly 10% for windows and doors.
A worked example: a 15 m² room with 2.6 m ceilings has about 51 m² of working surface — more than three times the floor area. At PLN 20/m² that is around PLN 1,025 of labour, which falls below the PLN 2,000 net minimum order, so a single room is quoted at the minimum.

All figures assume 2.6 m ceilings, two-coat roller painting at the middle rate of PLN 20/m², net of VAT:

At the bottom of the range (PLN 15/m²) a 50 m² flat comes to about PLN 2,470 net; at the top (PLN 25/m²), about PLN 4,120 net. Where you land depends on wall condition, colour changes and access.

What moves the price up or down
- Wall condition. Sound walls paint at the lower end. Walls needing a full skim coat add PLN 35–50/m² as a separate line.
- Colour change. Going from dark to light — or to a strong colour — can need an extra coat.
- Technique. Airless spray is cheaper per m² but needs an empty, fully masked room to pay off.
- Who supplies the paint. Client-supplied paint keeps the invoice to labour only.
- Scale. Above 500 m² of working surface the labour rate drops by PLN 1/m², capped at PLN 3/m².
